You should set up the leavers so that they almost touch your fingers, when you have them fully braking, that way they wouldn't be so touchy, it gives you more chance to modulate. I'd try that before the new pads.

it's a LONG hike a Bike, you gotta pretty much follow the Ridgeline to the first headwall. you will come across some Built Structure perhap's.... Shhhhhhhhh.
you can also Bike the EEOR trail, But I'm pretty sure You risk a ticket if you do ( sometime's it's worth the risk )
as you're from canmore, perhaps I've seen you near-by that trailhead as it's where i spend most of my time.
look for the upper rock band ( below the Headwall ) and follow it to the upper forest..basically ..Go up. there is a Rideable But unfinished berm on a steep section. if you find this then You've forund the Gate to many New trail's.. ( 5 of them )
CAUTION the upper Ledges between the 2 butresses have you fall, you Die consequences. ride safe. Scout first.
